This program takes the listeners on a journey from the origins of Jewish music, to the blossoming of choral music, from Ladino to Hebrew to the Yiddish theater on the lower east side, from a simple exploration of prayer modes to contemporary prayer settings.”
Love, Life, and Laughter – the story of the Yiddish Theater
From original Purim spiels to traveling European troupes to New York City and beyond, this program is a charming deep dive into Yiddish theater.
Bimah to Broadway to Beltway
Cantors Elisheva Dienstrey and Hinda Labovitz join in this program for a concert first presented at the DCJCC Music Festival. This program includes solos, duets, and trios all the categories in the title!
